What an egg inherits

Almost nothing. Generation 2 rolls the egg's four hidden values at random, the ones called DVs, then copies two of them from a parent: Defense whole, and Special to within eight. A parent at Special 5 gives an egg at 5 or 13. Generation 3 passes on three entire stats.
